Prima Electro’s CONVERGENT CV4000 CO2 laser has an optimized high quality beam for precise high speed cutting of thin, thick and non-metal metals. Its DC energized fast axial flow design has industry-leading electrical efficiency to minimize operating costs.
The CV4000 beam has a cutting width independent of the cutting direction. Energy distribution within the beam is ideal for minimizing heat input to workpieces of various thicknesses, from thin sheets and tubes to sheets and tubes.
The CONVERGENT CV4000 laser cuts thick and thin materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other metals and non-metals, with consistently clean edges (top left and right). Applications also include small and large laser welded and plated parts (bottom left). The CV4000 offers industry-leading energy efficiency and its compact design minimizes footprint.
The CV4000 has typical cutting capabilities in mild steel up to 22mm, stainless steel up to 12mm and aluminum up to 10mm with a 10″ lens. This laser has an exceptional ability to cut other materials including high quality plastics, composites, ceramics and more.
DC powered fast axial flow design delivers 200W to 4000W average power output, outperforming other 4kW CO2 lasers for cutting and welding applications. These include: 20% or more advantage with less electricity and 50% or more advantage with less laser gas. The maintenance interval for the CV4000 magnetic bearing turbine is 80,000 hours.
The Convergent CV4000 CO2 laser is housed in a compact package for easy integration with a laser machine. The compact design avoids additional wiring to the resonators and power supplies of other lasers. Cabinet dimensions: width 855 mm, height 883 mm, length 3105 mm.
Terry VanderVert, president of Prima Electro North America, reports that more than 5,000 converged CO2s were introduced over three decades ago. These include over 1,300 state-of-the-art models as well as the latest CV4000 for a wide range of cutting applications. This large customer base is a testament to the long term quality and reliability of CONVERGENT laser designs and their successful lasers have been installed worldwide since their use in many important industries around the world.
